- Cranleigh Baptist Church's people

We have hundreds of ministers at CBC - the whole church, in fact! We believe that the church is a place where everyone is able to use the gifts that God has given them to help one other and serve Christ. It might be leading a Sunday service or making the coffee, leading a children's group or helping with the photocopying. Our aim is to help each other develop those gifts and use them for God.

There are certain men and women that the church has chosen to set apart to serve in particular leadership roles. There is the Church Council (who have general oversight of the church), the Ministry Team (who supervise the teaching programme and pastoral care of individuals), and the Church Staff (see below).

Rev. Orlando Saer, Minister

Orlando, a former teacher, is married to Libby and they have four young children. They have been with us since the summer of 2003.

Dave Burt,
Assistant Minister (Youth)

Dave, who has a background and particular interest in the performing arts, has been on the church staff since 2002.

Janet Wallis,
Church Administrator

Janet worked as a school secretary for 15 years and amongst other things is a qualified hairdresser! She is Grandma to 5 grandchildren, has been in Cranleigh since January 2007. She joined the staff team in September 2008.
